Valentine’s is a great time to teach about kindness, love, friendship, and civility. Combine these themes with a fun activity and you will have a great Valentine’s Day celebration. Here are some tried and true activities that I find inspiring and fun… plus they are free and can be downloaded right away from Teachers Pay Teachers.
1. #Kindnessnation Sticky Notes of Kindness by Two Little Birds
I can’t think of a better way to be kind than to thank a person. A great way to teach children to appreciate and show gratitude is by having them write thank you notes. Here is a great freebie from Two Little birds.
2. Art Lesson Valentine’s Day Zentangle Drawing Heart Tangles
Can you have a holiday without an art project? Well, I can’t. I love this project from Renee Goularte Creating Art With Kids. Your students will be learning about shapes and patterns with this great freebie. Click here to download.
3. Free Valentine’s Day “fin”tastic Craft / Bulletin Board
This is a one-page print and go resource that has all of the components needed to create this cute little fish. Hang them all together to create a bulletin board or just put it in your art center for kids to do during their free choice. Either way, you will love this freebie. Download from TeachersPayTeachers here.
4. Valentine’s Day Craft & Cutting Practice
I love crafts in the classroom! This is a great download that has practice cutting sheets as well as this quick and easy heart craft. Download from Teachers Pay Teachers.
